Keeterix
Caecilians Didactylus
The eyes near the mouth
of the Keeterix are small, light-sensing nodules, not fully
functioning eyes. For
its primary wellspring of vision Keeterix uses a singular,
large eye located in
its "tail" where a portion of its brain resides.
It is not known how these two half-brains interact, but behaviorally
the Keeterix can be observed to act with the intentions of
two separate animals. Indeed if the intentions of one half
interfere
with those of the other, this volatile animal
will occasionally fight with itself. However, since each side
relies on the other for survival, the animal cannot continue
living
if it becomes partially damaged. |
